Sand Animation by Kseniya Simonova – Support the Arts

I had never seen this art form before; sand animation.  Very cool.  This is Kseniya Simonova’s work.  She just won Ukraine’s Got Talent (the Ukrainian version of America’s Got Talent).  I first saw it on the Huffington Post.

She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and “sand painting” skills to interpret Germany’s invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.  For more on the artist, read this Guardian profile.
